Everything in my life was a mess: my students were driving me crazy, I was driving my teachers crazy and I barely had time to go out just to take a walk. One day, a friend suggested that we spent Holy Week in Morrocoy. I didn´t even think about it!! I bought a tent, took my savings out of the bank and said goodbye to stressful Caracas. I must say that the trip was a disater itself. The bus left us in Valencia at 3 am, so we had to sleep in the terminal. The next day, we spent the entire morning trying to find transportation, and finally, we had to pay double for a bus to Morrocoy. When we got there, we had to pay a fisherman to take us in his boat to our island. It was very cheap, and as we got closer to the coast, we felt like it was all worth it. All the stress, anger and desperation had gone away as we stared at the natural beauty that appeared in front of our eyes. That was the beggining of my best holiday ever. Eventough I almost regret my decision, I prefered ” suffering” the difficulties of the trip, than having to stay in chaotic Caracas.

What a great experience, Gabriela.

Take advantage of this time of your life, later on responsibilities won’t let you do it as impulsively as you did this trip.

When I was reading, I felt I was living the same experience you went through. It was well explained in your narrative.

Two thumbs up!!!
